Who We Are

Brenda Romanchik, Chair -

Brenda is birthmom to Matt, who was placed in a fully open adoption in 1984. She also has been professionally writing and speaking on open adoption issues since 1989.

Temple Odom, Vice Chair -

Temple is birthmom to Daniel, who was placed in a fully open adoption in 1990. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has previously worked at The Center for Family Connections.

Michelle Fecteau, Treasurer -

Michelle is a parent by birth, adoption and foster care to eight beautiful children. She has worked in labor relations, mediation and training.

Sarah VanderHaagen, Board Member -

Sarah is an adopted adult who was placed at birth in an open adoption in 1980. She has presented at adoption conferences and is currently a senior at Calvin College.

Doug Lewis, Board Member -

Doug has been a parent for 30 years; an adoptive parent for 10 years and presently serves as Post Adoption Support Service Coordinator for Region 2 & 3 of Michigan located at Eagle Villiage.Temple is birthmom to Daniel, who was placed in a fully open adoption in 1990. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has previously worked at The Center for Family Connections.
