-The diamond (actually an Austrian crystal) is to remind you that I am a diamond in the rough, and that love, sometimes tender, sometimes tough, is what I need to shine.

-The star is to remind you to hold on to the brightest and most beautiful of your dreams. Even if they seem out of reach.

-The teardrop is to remind you that a mother's tears are never wasted. Whether shed in joy or silent worry or aching sadness, they give voice to what cannot be said.

-The pearl is to remind you that love a mother gives is a treasure to her children. As beautiful and as rare as a pearl.
